6. It’s important for children learn how to incorporate numbers and the alphabet in the context of everyday experiences that include their surroundings and meaningful activities like cooking, serving snacks, counting while jumping rope, etc.
7. Teachers that are involved with their students and who are fully engaged in activities and solving problems
8. Certifications: Staff educated in child development, and CPR and First Aid techniques
9. Well defined policies:  Discipline and Sick policy
10. Cleanliness – check out the bathrooms, kitchen (where applicable), classrooms, playground, and even exterior of the building to make sure it is kept clean. Make sure there is toilet paper, soap and paper towels or a hand drying mechanism in the restrooms.  And find out what the bathroom usage policies are.
